February was an exciting month for the Handmade Music School!
We hosted a fun and fantastic Valentine’s Dinner on the 14th – the food was delicious, the music was excellent, and the service was top notch! Thank you to everyone that joined us and donated. We’ll be back with this event next year, so put it in your calendar now!
Our Youth Stringband Program is in full swing, winter weather notwithstanding, and we had a blast at our first Community Day at the end of the month. The students learned about play parties and all about “crankies” as a way to share music and stories – they started working on their very own community crankie project focused on the old-time tune Groundhog. All students continue to jam in their classes, and have a great time building community.
